I went to a physical therapist who also does athletic training to get recommendations for exercise that would work with my spinal issues. I've got c5-c7 fused and also have an occasional lower back flare up. He gave me some things to avoid (including sit-ups/crunches) and stipulated that building my core was key. He had a Bosu ball that he recommended and that is $100 or so. I found this kit at Target and figured I could always return it. I did it on Saturday for about a 1/2 hour and am still feeling tight today. I couldn't believe how much it worked my abs without it seeming to be abdominal work. I agree though that Gaiam should have provided better instruction about the amount of air to fill the ball to.

kudos to tanja (and gaiam) for another great workout. as an intermediate exerciser and a newbie to the stability disk, i was suprised at how little trouble I had using it. dont' get me wrong, i had a few weebles and wobbles but i was able to keep up on the first go. the scenery is beautiful, the instructor and students are "normal", and the workouts are fabulous. (3) 20 minute workouts - upper/lower/abs. also included in this set is a resistence cord. this is always in my weekly rotation of workouts!
