How to do leg curls at home?
As anyone who exercises knows, leg curls are an essential part of any good full body workout. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing squats or using a leg curl bench for your workout, you need to work out your legs as it’s one of the most often used muscle groups. Although you can always go to a gym for a workout, here are a few tips so you can workout from home. For starters, make sure that you have a bench or step and a dumbbell (of almost any weight). Once you have a proper surface to do your workout on, you can use your makeshift leg curl bench to workout.
- Place a lighter dumbbell on the floor in front of you, standing it up on one end as you stand and face the bench.
- Grab the dumbbell between your feet, placing the bar in between your arches.
- Lie facedown on the bench with your knees hanging just off the edge.
- Bend your knees while keeping them and your ankles together to hold the dumbbell in between your feet.
- Grip the edges of your workout bench and slowly lower your legs backdown to the floor.
- Stop before you reach full extension, and repeat for about 15-20 reps of 3-4 sets.
