Nikon 12x50 Action Series Binoculars (USA)
A great bang-for-the-buck porro prism binocular, the Action series by Nikon feature knobby rubber armored housings. Their high-refraction prisms feature wide fields of view. And every Action model has a tripod adapter threading for easy extended glassing from a stationary position (requires optional tripod adapter #7650). The 12x50 model is ideally suited to tripod use for fully employing its awesome power. The performence in twilight is commendable and it makes a good astronomy binocular as well.
