Canoeing vs. kayaking

Now, here are two sports for all the water lovers. Canoeing is an outdoor water activity that requires special kind of canoe. Although it is tough to say when canoeing becomes kayaking, the actions for both are different. Kayaking on the other hand takes place when a kayak is used for moving across water. Canoes and kayaks have been around for quite a long time. Even before the comparison starts, it may be good to know what do you want to do and where do you want to go.
Canoe: One large difference or perhaps an advantage with a canoe is the fact that you can carry supplies in larger quantities. Canoes are excellent for camping trips that lasts over days. You can carry more stuff in there. Also, canoes are likely to be affected by the wind especially when you are the person who is paddling. Among the several canoes available, I prefer a Native Watercraft canoe. People around the world recognize the advantage of a higher line-of-sight and a dependable watercraft that can access places that no other craft can go. Plus, it makes for an excellent canoe no matter what the season. They are outstanding in spring and summer calm water and equally exciting during winters. The thrill to maneuver a state-of-the-art canoe is tough but extremely exciting.
Kayak: Advantage: speed. Yes, Kayaks are much faster and streamlined than canoes. They are your best bet during competitions and water races. For a personal use, I believe that kayaks provide the thrilling experience only because of their sheer speed. Kayaks also have greater maneuverability because kayaks are like workhorses. No wonder people use kayaks when the tides are high as they are more likely to get through a big wake. Pelican kayaks are awesome and respected for their durability and dependability. However, space is a big disadvantage in kayaks. They are good for a one or two day trips as there isn’t much space to store supplies.
Clinton Lake or Boris bay are great places to beat the hell out of water with thrill, fun and excitement. Go for it!
