I received this as a gift last year and I was using it 2 to 3 times a week. In the beginning, it was good. However, as I got better abs, I needed the machine to lay flatter to provide a more difficult exercise. It does not have this and only has one angle. Also, within 10 months, it broke. The welded attachment at the base of the back support sheared off. I would not buy another one and am considering other ab products.

I have been using it for about a week now. My stomach muscles do, in fact, feel like they have had a workout... so does my back and triceps. The way you have to hold your arms up with the grips on the end of the two straps really gives your triceps a good workout, a bonus I suppose. It is painful while I am exercising. It hurts near the elbow where the triceps meet the elbow. There is some neck strain also, but not as bad as the elbow pain. I will try more with the machine for a couple of weeks to see if the uncomfortable maneuvers are to be expected with these kind of exercises, or am I hurting my back, neck and arms doing so. Maybe the geometry of the machine not fit my body size? It's too early to tell. One reviewer claims the machine's spine is not flexible. Mine is. With the flexible spine on the machine, it enables you to do various stomach exercises including twisting. I just wish I was feeling more after pain in my abs rather than my elbows.

This is probably a great addition to a home gym, but there are other products for abs. Including the floor mat.
