Tennis Racquets

A tennis racquet is the most important part of your tennis equipment. There are usually five different qualities of a tennis racquet you should pay attention to before buying one. They are head size, length, grip size, Racket weight and the strings used. For beginners it is always advisable to have a tennis racquet with a large sized racquet head. Once you gain experience while playing, you may want to move to a tennis racket with a medium head. This will allow you to still have powerful shots, but with greater ability to place the shots. For beginners the racquet head should be around 107 square inches or greater and for experienced players it should be below 100 square inches.  The weight of a tennis racquet should also not be over 10 ounces for players who play a finesse game rather than an aggressive one.

Tennis Balls

A tennis ball is approximately 6.7 cm or 2.7 inches in diameter and is usually bright green-yellow. These tennis balls are covered in a fibrous fluffy felt. This felt is made out of wool. If you happen to play a lot or practice a lot then you should buy practice balls. There are two types of tennis balls available. They are regular and extra duty. Regular balls should be played on clay courts only. Extra duty balls can be played on any hard surface. You could buy practice tennis balls like the Wilson championship tennis balls. These balls are usually medium pressurized. They will provide you with adequate bounce and will last long. If you happen to own a tennis court you would need a tennis ball hopper to gather all the tennis balls scattered around.
